Abstract: La psicologia, la psicoterapia e la relazione d'aiuto come il counselling a confronto con le problematiche della deontologia professionale, i mandati sociali e le buone prassi. Le basi filosofiche che hanno portato alle attuali differenze epistemologiche e culturali.
Il primo a parlare di Weltanschauung, intraducibile parola tedesca che spesso per semplicità riduciamo a "visione del mondo", è stato probabilmente il filosofo Wilhelm Dilthey alla fine del XIX secolo. Rappresentante dello storicismo tedesco, Dilthey elabora la distinzione essenziale tra scienze della natura e scienze dello spirito (o scienze umane) - le prime hanno come oggetto il mondo intorno all'uomo strutturando metodologie di osservazione e valutazione in un rapporto soggetto/oggetto, le seconde hanno invece come centro di attenzione l'uomo stesso in un rapporto inevitabilmente soggetto/soggetto - affidando alle seconde il compito fondamentale di comprendere il senso dell'agire umano nella sua organizzazione storico-sociale.
